There has been an amazing development in the Dimitar Berbatov sage with Spanish giants Real Madrid apparently ready to table a £36 million bid for the Tottenham striker. The Bulgarian international has been linked with both Manchester City and Manchester United today but it would appear now they will face competition from Real.
Berbatov, 28, was quoted as saying a couple of weeks ago that it was his dream to join Sir Alex Ferguson's United. He is apparently in Manchester at the moment, talking with Ferguson and reports claim that he will talk to Mark Hughes as well this evening before the close of the transfer window tonight.
This has to be the most amazing transfer saga EVER. The facts at the moment are: Man City have had a £30 million bid accepted for Berbatov, the player is in Manchester and he has been talking with United. Surely Real couldn't complete a move for Berbatov with only seven hours left, could he? Stay tuned to Football Corner.
